In 1993, skateboarders Rodney Smith, Eli Morgan Gessner, and Adam Schatz teamed up to found the East Coast's first true skateboarding-inspired lifestyle brand Zoo York. The trio siphon creative inspiration from NYC's skate, bmx, hip-hop, punk and graffiti scenes to produce culturally relevant ranges of clothing and accessories that are dark and gritty, just like New York City.
